Leave Policy for Faculty
The following guidelines outline the leave policies for faculty members at Indian College of Education for Women, Arur, ensuring that the teaching schedule remains consistent and uninterrupted:
-
Faculty members must obtain *prior written permission* from the Principal at least one day in advance when intending to take Casual Leave (CL) or Official Duty (OD). This ensures that the management is informed and can make necessary arrangements to cover the responsibilities of the faculty member during their absence.
-
In the case of emergencies or sudden delays in reporting to duty, faculty members are required to inform the management *before 8:00 AM*. Prompt communication ensures that appropriate measures can be taken to minimize disruption in academic and administrative activities.
-
All faculty members must report for duty on the *reopening day* after semester breaks and on the *last working day* of each semester. Attendance on these critical days is mandatory to ensure the smooth operation of the institution and the timely completion of all academic responsibilities.
-
Faculty members are entitled to *12 days of leave* per calendar year. This leave allowance includes both personal and emergency leaves. It is essential to manage leave within this entitlement to avoid disruption to academic schedules.
By following this leave policy, faculty members contribute to maintaining the efficiency and continuity of the institution’s operations while ensuring that students receive uninterrupted guidance and instruction.
